Overview

During our tenure at Clover, we recognized a common need for people who pray regularly. Remembering and tracking what you are praying for is a common practice for Evangelical Christians, allowing them to manage prayer requests for themselves and others, and be encouraged when they saw answers to prayers.

My business partner originally created a web app called Echo Prayer in 2006, and we decided to rebuild Echo into an iOS and Android app in 2014. We included features such as sharing prayers, creating groups, and even establishing a way for organizations to connect with supporters and share prayer requests across the entire community. We leveraged our Clover customer base for launch, and immediately found product market fit.

Outcomes:

Our user base reached 700,000+, and we were able to achieve and maintain a 4.8 star rating in the App Store. We ultimately sold Echo in 2022, potentially realizing substantial value from the venture.
